Ganesh Kutum Memorial Polyclinic was founded by Dr. Ranjit Kari, a distinguished Gynaecology private practitioner, to honor the legacy of Late Ganesh Kutum, the 15th Speaker of the Assam Legislative Assembly (1996-2001) and a prominent Asom Gana Parishad politician who was instrumental in modernizing Gohpur Town.
